I'm definitely a fan of 1st person POV. It makes me feel like I'm there and actually in the shoes of the character. Thinking about it now, it probably explains why I get turned off from a lot of 3rd person POV books. I need to feel like I'm there living it and breathing it when I read.

I've got the impression that picking POV characters is something that goes nearly natural. Although there are a lot of aspects of writing that ask for my attentions, choosing POV's is an easy task for me. I'm not sure whether there are authors who have experienced difficulties with this matter. I, for one, have never read a novel where I had to admit the author chose the wrong POV character. Correct examples.
